Privacy Policy
How Kueffer Capital, Inc. collects, uses, and protects information about visitors, partners, and users of our software.
1. Introduction
Kueffer Capital, Inc. ("Kueffer Capital," "we," "us," or "our") is a Florida corporation that operates a private holding company and develops software, including integrations with third-party platforms such as Intuit QuickBooks. This Privacy Policy describes the categories of information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. This policy applies to our website at kueffercapital.com and to any software application we publish that links to this policy (collectively, the "Services").
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you contact us, apply for an internship, or interact with our Services, you may provide:
- Identifying details such as your name, email address, business name, and the contents of your message.
- Application materials such as resumes, portfolios, links to work samples, and the track you are applying for.
- Authentication tokens and account identifiers issued by third-party platforms (for example, Intuit QuickBooks OAuth tokens) when you authorize us to access those platforms on your behalf.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website or use our software, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Standard log data such as IP address, browser type and version, referring page, pages viewed, and approximate request timestamps.
- Operational telemetry such as request rates, error rates, and performance metrics, used to keep the Services running.
We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking cookies on the marketing website. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide appropriate notice.
Information from third-party platforms
If you connect your Intuit QuickBooks account (or another supported third-party platform) to our software, we receive data the platform makes available under the scopes you authorize. This may include company profile, accounts, transactions, customers, vendors, and related accounting records. We use this data only for the purposes you authorized and only for as long as required to provide the Services.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries, evaluate internship applications, and communicate with you.
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve our Services, including the software you authorize to access third-party platforms.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use information obtained from Intuit QuickBooks (or comparable third-party platforms) for advertising or to train machine learning models that do not directly serve the integration you authorized.
4. How we share information
We share information only as follows:
- With your direction. When you authorize us to send data to a third party (for example, syncing records to QuickBooks), we share what is necessary to fulfill that direction.
- Service providers. We use a small number of vetted infrastructure providers (currently Amazon Web Services for hosting, email, and storage; Google Workspace for email) under contracts that limit them to acting on our instructions.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Kueffer Capital, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If Kueffer Capital is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Inquiry messages and internship applications are retained for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Operational logs are retained for up to 90 days. Third-party platform data is deleted within a reasonable period after you disconnect the integration, unless retention is required by law.
6. Your choices and rights
You may:
- Request a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete personal information.
- Withdraw consent for any processing that depends on your consent (for example, by disconnecting an integration).
- Opt out of any non-essential email by replying to ask us to stop.
To exercise any of these rights, email walter@kueffercapital.com. We will respond within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days. Some rights may be limited where retention is legally required.
7. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and encryption at rest (AES-256) on storage we control. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. Suspected security incidents should be reported to walter@kueffercapital.com.
8. Third-party platforms (Intuit QuickBooks specifically)
If you connect your Intuit QuickBooks account to our software, our use and storage of QuickBooks data is governed both by this policy and by the Intuit Developer terms and Intuit's own privacy practices. We access QuickBooks data only with the OAuth scopes you authorize and use that data only to provide the integration you requested. We do not share QuickBooks data with third parties except as described in section 4. You can revoke our access at any time from your Intuit account settings; doing so will end the integration.
9. International transfers
We operate in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable threshold), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact walter@kueffercapital.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email when reasonably practicable.
